The Keepers of the Book of Wisdom

Throughout my adult life three topics have fascinated me: the mythical realm of Atlantis, secret societies in general and specific secret societies committed to bringing about The New World Order (there have been several others, but these three are of concern to us here).

Prior to my achieving my majority I dismissed these three themes—along with several others—as the work of lunatics and crackpots but as an adult, as I gained more and more information from my extensive reading and life experience about how the World really works, these ideas slowly began to make more sense.

As an inveterate hoarder and collector of many things, but chiefly printed information of every description, I need to troll through my book shelves and filing cabinets from time-to-time and make decisions—sometimes difficult—about what may be discarded as “probably forever useless” to make space for further acquisitions (my wife established a binding rule some time ago that for each book I bring into the house, either new or used, I must remove one).

This article is about one such acquisition.

While going through the contents of some big, old brown envelopes, the ones you use when you have exhausted your supply of hanging file folders, I stumbled upon the information that is the subject of this article: information that had not seen the light of day for at least half a century and that I had dismissed then as the work of the lunatics and crackpots noted above.

A few minutes contemplation were required to refresh my memory about when and how this particular document had come into my possession. An acquaintance of whom I have long since lost touch gave it to me during that transition in my life from sophomoric teen-ager to naïve adult.

His transition was somewhat advanced over mine, during which time he had become a Freemason and a student of Scientology (I have become neither a Freemason nor a Scientologist). This document was purported to be a copy of one he had obtained from a fellow neophyte Freemason and Scientologist, whom he claimed had stolen it from the secret files of his local Masonic Lodge.

He told me it was common knowledge among many of his brother Freemasons and all his fellow Scientologists that this document confirmed the existence of a secret society called The Keepers of the Book of Wisdom; that this organization had handed down arcane knowledge about the coming of a New World Order contained in a book called The Book of Wisdom through an unbroken line of Keepers since the destruction of Atlantis in the Deluge.

The document in my possession is seriously yellow with age and the typing was poor even by standards of the late fifties. Rather than try to produce a nearly-unreadable facsimile for you I have decided you deserve a new text.

Please read this with an open mind, as I have done. Based on my life experience and all the reading I have done over the past fifty years, it makes sense. See if you agree. (Please note that the parenthetical remarks are part of my copy of the document.)

The Keepers of the Book of Wisdom

1       In the beginning was the Deluge and Hastlantu was covered with mighty waters.
2       And The Book of Wisdom was borne for an hundred years to Hasmar and was kept there an hundred years.
3       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Tasroso and was kept there an hundred years.
4       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Barebuhyk and was kept there two hundred years.
5       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Shatlehyk and was kept there two hundred years.
6       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Skoltepo and was kept there two hundred years.
7       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Azmirzih and was kept there two hundred years.
8       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Treusshemru and was kept there two hundred years.
9       And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Ebelnos and was kept there an hundred years.
10    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Zemaksos and was kept there an hundred years.
11    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Dyerokos and was kept there two hundred years.
12    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Elesheul and was kept there two hundred years.
13    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Sheholos and was kept there an hundred years.
14    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Marhnots and was kept there an hundred years.
15    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Dnakerdu and was kept there an hundred years.
16    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Bidewos and was kept there an hundred years.
17    And The Book of Wisdom was borne to Skenus and was kept there an hundred years.
18    And The Book of Wisdom was delivered into the hands of Pharaoh Scorpion The First, where his scribes translated it from the language of Hastlantu into the language of his people.
19    And the Pharaoh decreed henceforth that he should be The Keeper of the Book of Wisdom, and he would pass it to his successor, and he to his successor, and he to his successor until the coming of The New World Order; and that the line should be unbroken until the end of time.

(According to some authorities, the original book was lodged in the Ancient Library of Alexandria but this is not clear from the records. It is impossible to determine whether it survived the destruction of the library. In any case it is lost to us—its whereabouts unknown.)

21    And Pharaoh Khnemibre Ahmose II ordered his scribes to translate The Book of Wisdom into the Greek language of Solon, and he decreed henceforth the line of The Keepers of the Book of Wisdom should pass to Solon and his successors until the coming of The New World Order; and the line should be unbroken until the end of time.

(Precisely why Pharaoh Khnemibre Ahmose II should have decided the line should pass from Egypt to Greece is disputed. It has been hypothesised The Book prophesized the ascendancy of Greece and that The Keepers were instructed to make this change.)

Titus Pomponius Atticus
Ammonius of Athens

23    And Lucius Mestrius Plutarchus became The Keeper of the Book of Wisdom in 76AD and he translated The Book of Wisdom into Latin.

(It is reasonable to assume The Keepers were instructed to translate The Book into Latin at this time as the Roman Empire became the dominant power in the West. This clearly follows the pattern of previous prophesies. The whereabouts of the Greek translation is unknown. It should also be noted that beginning with Plutarch dates of Keepers’ tenures have been added to the record.)

25    George II of Great Britain became The Keeper of the Book of Wisdom in 1722 and he had The Book translated into English.

(It is entirely possible The Book was translated into English at this time because The Wisdom prophesised the ascendancy first of Britain then America as dominant powers in the West. It is also reasonable to assume The New World Order, when it comes about, will be somewhere in the West. The Latin and possibly even the Greek translations of The Book, if extant, are presumably lodged with the present Keeper.)
